These candlesticks begin as tall narrow wheel thrown bases. Then each delicate petal is added one by one growing outward until they become a blooming flower. The petals are hand rolled, hand cut, and then gently pressed into my palm for thinning and shaping. These candlestick bases are glazed in my Bermuda glaze, and the blooms are glazed in a shiny clear with a beautiful mother of pearl luster overtop which gives them a lustrous opalescent quality.
