This tiny porcelain pumpkin box starts out as a wheel thrown from that I trap the air inside. This pumpkin is thrown off the hump. The air trapped form is then sculpted and trimmed, in this case I create a flange for a lidded box and cut the halves apart. The stem is pulled by hand, attached, and carved with details. This pumpkin is glazed in a white crackle with clear interior and a gold luster stem and lid alignment dots.
