This tiny porcelain pumpkin starts out as a wheel thrown from that I trap the air inside. This pumpkin is thrown off the hump. The air trapped form is then sculpted and trimmed. The stem is pulled by hand, attached, and carved with details. This pumpkin is glazed in shiny clear and then once it has been glaze fired it is hand painted with 22k gold luster and then fired a third and final time to fuse the gold to the surface.
